(FTRI) is a statewide non profit 501(c)3 organization that administers the Specialized Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program for citizens of Florida who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf/Blind and Speech Impaired. FTRI is also responsible for the education and promotion of the Florida Relay Service.
Communication Access, Inc.Communication Access Inc. provides the following services:
- Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services
- Accessible rehabilitation and mental health counseling for individual and group sessions
- Speechreading classes and sign language classes
- Providing psychological and technological education of hearing loss issues through workshops, seminars, and presentations
- Assisting in the funding of other non-profit organizations that focus on hearing loss issues
- Advocating for accessible communication access
- Promoting awareness and education of hearing loss issues in our society
Sertoma, Inc.
Sertoma’s primary service project is assisting people with hearing health issues. Sertoma also sponsors a Hearing Aid Recycling Program that provides hearing aids for low-income individuals.Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
FCCDHH provides a forum for public input and outreach resulting in technical assistance, advocacy, education, and improved communication access among public and private entities to meet the needs of deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened and deaf-blind persons.

The Hearing Loss Association of America contracted with Knowlera Media to produced a series of seven, four-minute, captioned videos on hearing loss. Information you need to be adequately briefed on the topic is all in one place in an easy-to-access format. If you think you have a hearing loss or know someone who does, please point them to the videos where hearing health care professionals and people with hearing loss talk about what you can do about it.
